SEVEN REASONS THIS WEEKEND’S NEW MEXICO BRICK CONVENTION IS A CAN’T-MISS EVENT!
As hosts to the biggest fair in the region, we are rarely lacking in enthusiasm for big, fun-filled, and exceptional events at EXPO NM. That said, we’re pretty darn excited that this weekend EXPO will be home to the New Mexico Brick Convention, the “ultimate LEGO® fan event, built by LEGO fans, for LEGO fans.”
Hardcore LEGO enthusiasts already know that the convention, which takes place on Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21 in the Manuel Lujan Jr. Complex is a must-attend event. From the extravagant LEGO displays to the professional LEGO artists to the hands-on brick pits for kids, the gathering is a unique opportunity to engage in a fun, family-friendly one-of-a-kind experience. Even if you aren’t a long-time LEGO loyalist, we’re sharing a handful of reasons why you won’t want to miss it!
1.The LEGO displays are legendary and awe-inspiring
The convention is an incredible opportunity to witness some of the most fantastical, elaborate, imaginative and expansive displays of LEGO designs that you’ll ever see. The phenomenal attractions include life-size displays, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Marvel themed creations, LEGO cities and castles, as well as brick-built botanical arrangements.

When they aren’t staring wistfully at the incredible LEGO creations and inventions, LEGO enthusiasts of all ages will want to get hands-on with some LEGOs in the ever-popular brick pits. Vendors at the LEGO shows offer a wide variety of LEGO and LEGO-inspired items for purchase. 6.Meet LEGO-lebrities
According to their website, Brick Conventions feature multiple special guests including artists, creators, authors, content creators, and even contestants from the popular LEGO MASTERS. Fans and newbies alike will be impressed by their brushes with LEGO fame.
7.A percentage of proceeds go to a great cause!
