The Expo New Mexico Media Department has its finger on the pulse of all the events happening during the 17-day State Fair. We welcome the opportunity to work with your media outlet.
News agencies requesting and receiving press credentials must adhere to the following criteria:
Press credentials may only be used to cover the Fair as a news assignment.
Credentials are valid for gate admission and parking in designated lots as noted on the pass.
Admission is valid only for the individual who is issued the credential. In the event that a general pass is issued to a news agency, the name of the reporter or photographer must be listed on the media credential application.
Credentials used for purposes other than to conduct work at the New Mexico State Fair will be revoked. This includes unauthorized persons using credentials.
A member of the Media Department must escort all reporters, photojournalists and camera crews while on the fairgrounds.
Freelance reporters/photographers must provide proof of a news assignment from a news organization, such as a letter on letterhead from a news director, editor or similar authority. No business cards or by-lined articles will be accepted.
Press Credentials are NOT valid for attending events inside Tingley Coliseum.
