Michal represented Bernalillo County in this year’s queen contest.  Michal is a junior at CNM/UNM majoring in Business Management.  After graduation her goal is to own and operate her own company.  Michal has been riding horses since she was 3 years old.  She enjoys English and Western riding.

New Mexico State Fair Queen & runner ups.

  2009 NM State Fair Queen  – Michal Lydia Almanza
Michal represented Bernalillo County in this year’s queen contest.  Michal is a junior at CNM/UNM majoring in Business Management.  After graduation her goal is to own and operate her own company.  Michal has been riding horses since she was 3 years old.  She enjoys English and Western riding.


 2009 NMSFQ 1st Attendant – Kaycee McDaniel
Kaycee represented Lea County in the year’s queen contest.  Kaycee is a sophomore at NMSU.  She plans to major in Animal Science.  After graduating from NMSU she plans on continuing her education at Texas Tech, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. 


 2009 NMSFQ 2nd Attendant – Krystie Lynn Bierner

Krystie Lynn Bierner proudly represented Sierra County.  She is a junior at the University of New Mexico majoring in Exercise Science and Nutrition.  In the future she would like to own and operate a therapeutic riding facility.  Her favorite things to do with her horses are team roping, ranch work and coaching youth.
